May 13 is World Falun Dafa Day

THE Saipan Falun Dafa Buddhist Association will hold a series of activities to celebrate the 23rd World Falun Dafa Day and the 30th anniversary of Falun Dafa on May 13.

“We will hold a motorcade parade with the theme of spreading the beauty of Falun Dafa and exposing the atrocities of the Chinese Communist Party,” a Falun Dafa representative on Saipan told Variety.

“We will sincerely convey the beauty of Falun Dafa and the universal value of truthfulness, compassion and forbearance to the kind citizens of Saipan,” the Falun Dafa representative added.

On May 7 and 8, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and on May 13, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Falun Dafa will hold a motorcade with the assistance of the local police department.

On May 13, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the local Falun Dafa practitioners will be at the San Jose/Oleai intersection to exhibit banners and distribute “truth materials” as well as small lotus flowers to local residents.

The group invites local community members to join them. “We will welcome you.”

Falun Dafa is “very good for one’s physical and mental health,” according to its representative. “You are welcome to learn about it. You can choose to learn on-site or online. We will always teach the exercises free of charge. I wish all people will stay healthy and stay safe.”

Millions of people around the world have improved their physical and mental health by practicing Falun Dafa, the representative said.

Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a peaceful spiritual practice rooted in traditional Chinese culture, its proponents said.

Falun Dafa consists of meditation exercises, and a moral philosophy centered on the values of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.

Falun Dafa said it has over 100 million practitioners in 114 countries.

The Chinese Communist Party, the governing party of China, has been persecuting Falun Dafa since 1999.

“The CCP has slandered Falun Dafa, and imprisoned and killed Falun Dafa practitioners,” the group said.
