JUSTIN Mizutani has secured a spot on the elite list of the Amigos Golf Club by clinching the May Ace of the Month title at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
In the qualifying round on May 1, Mizutani completed the 18 holes with a gross of 75. With a handicap of 14, his net score was a chart-topping 61.
In the ace round on Sunday, Mizutani struggled and ended up with a gross of 87 for a net score of 73. But with a two-day net total of 134, he secured overall first place and the May Ace of the Month title.
In second place was Frank Sablan who, on day one, shot a gross of 79. With a 10 handicap, his net score was 69. He maintained a steady performance on day two with a gross of 82 which, thanks to his 10 handicap, gave him a net score of 72. His net total of 141 was good enough for overall second place.
In the side events, the Closest to the Pin winners, who each received $150, were Sherlyn Jones on hole #6; Justin Mizutani, hole #8; Frank Sablan, hole #12; and Pat George, hole #15.
