The hearing will discuss the Neo Goldwings Paradise land lease proposal.

The following witnesses are required to be present:

• Tinian Mayor Jose P. San Nicolas

• Tinian Municipal Council Chairman Antonio H. Borja

• Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission Chairman Francisco M. Borja

Witnesses are requested to submit written testimony to the committees on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit written testimony before the public hearing.

Oral testimony will be received during the public hearing.

CNMI Bar Association meeting

 

THE CNMI Bar Association will hold a general membership meeting and election at the Hyatt Giovanni’s Restaurant, Thursday, Feb. 19, at 11:45 a.m.

Members have been sent a letter of instruction and ballot with the names of the members nominated to serve on the board of directors, as the American Bar Association representative and disciplinary committee. 

All of the candidates are running unopposed, and in accordance with the bylaws, there are no write-in candidates.

Confirmation votes are needed to validate the election. 

Please return your ballots in accordance with the letter’s instructions.

• Feb. 11 — 2nd quarter report card day/open house, 4 p.m.-6 p.m. (students released at 1 p.m.), (parents pick up report cards from homeroom teachers)

• Feb. 16 — No classes (President’s Day)

• Feb. 17 — No classes (PSS professional development)

• Feb. 27 — Cultural Day, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., MHS campus, open to the public
