Clifford Palacios Masga, 20, appeared with his court-appointed counsel Brien Sers Nicholas on Jan. 28, 2009 and pled guilty to the offense of conspiracy to commit robbery. Chief Prosecutor Kevin A. Lynch represented the government during the hearing.
Associate Judge Ramona A. Manglona also placed Masga on probation for six months and ordered him to report to the Office of Adult Probation on Jan. 28. He will pay a fine of $500, a court assessment fee of $100 within 30 days, and an annual probation fee of $60.
He is also ordered to pay $1,011.25 as his share of the restitution to Golden Poker, and perform 100 hours of community work service. He will write a letter of apology to Golden Poker within 30 days and complete a General Education Development program under the term of his probation.
Manglona set a review hearing for June 24, 2009. Failure on the defendant to appear for this schedule will result to the issuance of a bench warrant.
Manglona also ordered the defendant’s bail to be exonerated.
The defendant was arrested with Michael Jordan Cabrera, Anthony DLG. Campos, and Patrick Camacho Ito after they were charged with staging an armed robbery at Golden Poker on April 12, 2007.
The Superior Court initially imposed a $100,000 cash bail on each of the four defendants for their temporary liberty.
Police conducted a joint operation that resulted in the arrest of the four suspects.
Based on preliminary investigation, the suspects who wore masks and were armed with a crowbar, pipe, and hammer ran off with $4,045 from the poker arcade.
