Immigration regulations recently transferred such functions to Commerce.
Secretary of Commerce Michael Ada said, “I encourage the general public to review the proposed regulations and submit their comments. My staff and I stand ready to administer this program until the U.S. immigration takeover takes place.”
Until Commerce fully promulgates final immigration regulations for the selected immigration categories mentioned above, these functions will be administered under current regulations with the CNMI.
