Audience loves ‘The Enchantress’

One of the skits depicted three female senior citizens in “seductive” attire while enticing men in the Garapan area.

Solo performances and cultural dance numbers were also presented by the manamko’

Prince Monkeya, Tinian resident director of the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, led a group of manamko’ from the island to watch the movie.

“It was very entertaining. I would say it’s very nice and a job well done,” Monkeya said, as she congratulated Walter Manglona, director and producer of “The Enchantress.”

Monkeya is hoping Manglona will produce another movie for the manamko’ of Tinian.

She said Manglona should distribute DVDs of “The Enchactress” to Tinian and Rota so that the senior citizens there can watch it.

Manglona, the program coordinator of the Aging Office, said he may make another movie.

“There were lots of positive feedbacks from the audience,” Manglona said.

Monkeya urged the public to see “The Enchantress.”

“They will never regret seeing it because the movie is very interesting and the bonus productions are full of laughter.”

She thanked Tinian Mayor Jose San Nicolas, Sen. Jude U. Hofschneider, the Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino for funding the trip to Saipan of the island’s manamko’.

More than 15 senior citizens from Tinian viewed the first screening of the movie last Friday.

Children and teenagers also came to see the movie despite the rainy weather.
