Pacifica Insurance Underwriters launches 12th Annual Pacifica Art Contest

(PIUI) — Get ready for an electrifying celebration of creativity as Pacifica Insurance Underwriters, Inc. proudly kicks off its 12th Annual Pacifica Art Contest! This year’s theme remains “Rest Assured, it’s Christmas” promises to ignite inspiration and the holiday spirit across the islands. With thousands of groundbreaking submissions since PAC’s inception in 2014, this year’s entries are set to shine brighter than ever and showcase the boundless talent thriving in our local community.

Pacifica Art Contest has soared to art event prominence, receiving over 3,000 dazzling art entries and earning its place as the CNMI’s most anticipated annual showcase for artists of every age. It’s become the ultimate stage for local talent, marking the festive start of the holiday season with color, imagination, graphics, and flair.

Schools across the Northern Marianas have proudly supported young artists through the years, fostering a vibrant community of creators.

The schools include San Vicente Elementary, Oleai Elementary, Hopwood Middle School, Francisco M. Sablan Middle School, Agape Christian Academy, Sinapalo Elementary, Tinian Elementary School, Tinian Jr/Sr High School, Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Jr/Sr High School, Saipan Community School, Mount Carmel School, Saipan Community School, Saipan International School, Saipan Seventh Day Adventist School, Green Meadows School, William S. Reyes Elementary, Garapan Elementary School, Grace Christian Academy, Marianas High School, Saipan Southern High School, and Dandan Middle School.

Winners this year won’t just receive a generous cash prize — they’ll also be awarded an exciting gift set and, of course, the honor of claiming well-deserved bragging rights. These rewards are just a few of the many reasons why artists of all ages are busily gathering their art supplies, perfecting their digital skills, and getting ready for a creative challenge unlike any other.

Artists can choose to participate in either the traditional or digital categories. The traditional category, open to young artists ages 6 to 17, is divided into two age groups: 6–11 years and 12–17 years. Participants are encouraged to unleash their creativity using mediums such as pen, paint, charcoal, oil pastels, crayons, or colored pencils, with artwork allowed up to 18″ x 24″ in size. All traditional submissions should be hand-delivered to the PIUI office at the Joeten Center in Susupe.

For those passionate about digital art, the digital category invites entries in the form of 2D graphic designs, digital photos, or even an eye-catching 30-second video. Digital submissions can be sent via email to artcontest@pacificains.com or uploaded through the easy-to-use online form at pacificains.com/artcontest/.

Circle the date: the contest deadline is Sept. 26, 2025 at 4 p.m. sharp. Stay in the loop with the latest updates and inspiration by following PIUI on Facebook and Instagram!
