Santa Soledad Parish to host first-ever golf tournament fundraiser

IN honor of Fr. Rey D. Rosal’s 36th priesthood ordination anniversary, Santa Soledad Parish is excited to announce its first-ever golf tournament fundraiser, set for Sunday, Oct, 26, 2025, at the scenic LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort. This community-driven event aims to bring friends, families, and golf enthusiasts together in support of vital parish improvement projects.

Golfers of all skill levels are invited to join for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and charity. The tournament entry fee is $120 per person, which includes cart and green fees plus a banquet. Full payment is required upon registration to secure your spot.

Tournament details

• Show time: 6 a.m.

• Shotgun start: 7 a.m.

• Format: 4-man scramble

• Scoring categories: Double Peoria & Low Gross

• Optional play: $20 per person

Proceeds from the tournament will go directly toward much-needed repairs and enhancements for the church and rectory, including fixing leaks and repainting.

In addition to players, Santa Soledad Parish is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make the event a success. Volunteers will assist with event setup, registration, scorekeeping, hospitality, and more.

“This tournament is not just about golf — it’s about building community spirit and preserving our parish for generations to come,” said Fred Salavaria, Golf Committee chairman. “We welcome everyone to participate, whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just out for a good time in support of a great cause.”

Registration for golfers and sign-ups for volunteers are now open, and spots are limited. Early sign-ups are encouraged.
