For the residential area consuming 0 to 500 KW the current rate is 22.6 cents and will be down to 21.6 cents.For costumers consuming 501 to 2,000 KW, the rate will be 29.6 cents to 30.6 cents, and residential areas consuming more than 2,000 the rate will be 34.1 cents from 35.1 cents.The rate for the commercial and government will also be 34.1 cents from 35.1 cents. The breakdown affected the entire island for a week since the capacity of the load cannot meet the demand.PPUC said because of the engine break down cannot carry the entire power load for Koror State and Babeldaob area.
