We firmly believe and hope that your office reconsider re-auditing and investigating such improprieties regarding the financial statements and mismanagement at NMC during Mrs. Agnes M. McPhetres’ tenure as president.
This had been an issue that has long been covered-up and without OPA stepping in it will only undermine the integrity of your office as the investigative arm of the government.
Mr. Pai, to date, we are unsure whether the $82,000 embezzlement scheme involving student scholarship checks were ever paid back to NMC as restitution by the individual involved.
It is our hope that you consider this matter in order to instill integrity in Northern Marianas College for the sake of our community and the students.
Judge Govendo can send to jail lawyers for not accounting for all their expenditures. Lt. Governor Villagomez is under federal indictment from case files dating 10-15 years ago. NMC’s case was never resolved. Where is justice in this matter?
