Solomons land inquiry

HONIARA (Pacnews) — Three Melanesian countries have nominated their candidates to be commissioners in the Solomon Islands Commission of Inquiry on land dealings on Guadalcanal, reports SIBC.

Prime Minister Derek Sikua revealed this while answering a question from opposition leader Manasseh Sogavare in Parliament

Sikua said Fiji has nominated a member of the Fiji Native Lands Trust Board to be in the commission while Vanuatu has nominated a former director general for lands.

Papua New Guinea has nominated the person involved in the Commission of Inquiry into the 2006 Honiara riots.
