NMI marks 11th year of Luhk sisters’ disappearance

SISTERS Faloma and Maleina Luhk were last seen near a bus stop in As Teo on the morning of May 25, 2011.

Every year since then, family members offer prayers at a makeshift shrine that their family had built in the area.

The girls’ baffling disappearance sparked a month-long, massive community and local and federal law enforcement effort to locate them.

Faloma and Maleina were 10 and 9 years old at the time. They will be 21 and 20 this year.

The Federal Bureau has said that it remains steadfast in its commitment to find the girls and exact justice.

The FBI offers a reward of up to $25,000 for any information regarding the whereabouts of the two sisters.
