Letter to the Editor: Intoxication: A sad story

I totally blame Commissioner Melchor and Barry for Mr.  Barcinas’ actions in allowing and rooting for him to provoke confrontation with demeaning words that were uncalled for.

I would have thought that they are good role models, and are respectful citizens. What a mistake to even think that.

If you’re both gentlemen with class that morning, you could have advised Uncle Fred not to act like a juvenile delinquent or you could’ve driven your vehicle away, so I would not have heard the profanity of your passenger Uncle Fred that definitely referred to me since I’m the only one who recently came back to visit.

Commissioner Mendiola and Barry, just what is your interpretation of Fred Barcinas’s statement to me that you even laughed?

Watching you both chuckling your face off that I almost couldn’t see your eyes was a total SHOCK to me! I believe you do not deserve my respect.

I’m mature, smart and life is too short to be hateful, therefore, this old-school behavior of bullying must  stop!

I thought after being away that this type of old school behavior is long lost but to the contrary it is still being practiced. Is this the type of atmosphere you want to display to investors, visitors and our young community of Rota?

What happen at the Aquarius Bar & Grill was witnessed by my friends and off-island visitors. I suggest that you exercise caution when out in public, particularly when you are intoxicated because it brings out the ghost in you.

I know what triggered your juvenile act! I think you were all bothered that the bar ladies paid more attention to our manhoben table than to yours. But what can I say…
