Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter who the committee recommends as being the most qualified. The president chooses who she likes. She doesn’t take into consideration who is actually the most qualified.
What is the point of having interviews with the committee in the first place if the NMC president simply chooses who she wants and disregards the recommendations?
It’s a waste of personnel time and the time of the qualified candidates. It is not an effective HR practice. This has happened many times. Something is really wrong with this picture. This is part of why employee morale is low.
