Teenager stabbed at weekend party

Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric F. David said preliminary investigation showed that a group of juveniles was having a party in one of the rooms at the Aquarius Tower in Chalan Kanoa when an uninvited teenager barged in and caused a commotion.

David added that the teenagers chased the intruder out but he returned after a few minutes.

The intruder called one of the juveniles to get out and go to the hallway of the hotel at about 8 p.m.

When the victim was already in the hallway, the suspect stabbed him in the stomach, David said.

Another teenager sustained cuts and bruises when he tried to interfere.

Bystanders who called for assistance eventually subdued the 17-year-old suspect who was arrested by responding police officers.

The victim was brought to the Commonwealth Health Center where he is still undergoing treatment for his stab wounds.

“The investigators have not yet interviewed the victim at CHC,” David said.
