Letter to the Editor: Accountability and responsibility

All the Ponzi schemes went on behind closed doors and it was business as usual for shady public officials who enriched themselves while dealing and wheeling with their secret business partners.

They think they’re above the law, disregarding the public interest and public trust while, for years, our power and water infrastructure was neglected and millions of dollars that have been squandered could have been used on our power, water and Retirement Fund to alleviate the hardship imposed on our people.

We are suffering because the government misused public funds.

They still don’t get it. They  want to run again.

This election year voters better wise up because this is no laughing matter when your own government is abusing your own people.

Think about it people. Our government is sinking into the Marianas Trench.

We need human excellence in running our executive branch. We need transparency in our government. We need a new leader that stands for the CNMI.

We must stop the corruption that has been going on for years.
