Only the surviving spouse and natural children will be considered as dependents under the program.

12 organizations confirmed for NMC Career Fair
(NMC) — Twelve companies have been confirmed to participate in the Northern Marianas College’s Career Center’s Career Fair today, April 23.
The participating organizations are Marianas Resort & Spa, Palms Resort Saipan, Pacific Islands Club, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Joeten Enterprises, Tan Holdings, the Office of Personnel Management, Laolao Bay Golf Resort, the Department of Public Safety, Marianas Health Services and Pacific Trading Company.
NMC’s human resources department will also be there.
The Career Fair will showcase the various employment opportunities to high school and college students as part of the college’s celebration of Career Discovery Month.
The fair will be held between Buildings W and V at NMC and will run from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. All high school and college students are invited.

New park superintendent
OAKLAND, Ca. (U.S. Department of the Interior) — Barbara Alberti, an 18-year veteran of the National Park Service, is the newly appointed superintendent at War in the Pacific National Historical Park on Guam and American Memorial Park on Saipan, the two NPS units located west of the International Dateline and closest to Japan.
She follows Sarah Creachbaum who recently transferred from the superintendency on Guam to superintendent of Haleakala National Park on Maui, Hawaii.
Steve Gibbons is serving as acting superintendent until Alberti arrives on Guam in the early summer.
“I am impressed with Barbara’s collaborative and resource management skills,” said NPS Regional Director Jonathan B. Jarvis, in making the appointment.
