Carson, Curtiz, Marlon, and Aladin scored 17, 15, 14, and 12 points respectively for the Ngiwal 79ers as they were able to break down their opponent’s defensive stance and cruised to win against one of the youngest up and coming team in the NBL this season, Medaboys, with a huge score of 79 – 50. Although C-Boy produced 14 points while team mate Joshua contributed 12 to their team, MedaBoys were not able to get more points to slice the lead of their competitor. The 79ers continued the onslaught all throughout the remaining quarters to pull off a big win and advance to the next round and meet team Kabong on Thursday night, 2nd of April.
In other playoff action match last Saturday, Jaguar – DMC was not to be denied on a game against team TurtleRiders as they clawed the latter with all their might that resulted a win and get a chance to move on to the next stage of the playoff run. Jun Lanzuela of the team DMC – Jaguars did the damage to their opponent collecting 27 points, on the other hand, Joey and Bow dropped in 23 and 22 points respectively for the Turtleriders. Upon winning, Jaguar-DMC will face off with #2 in team standings Sam’s Sharks that will be played on Saturday night, second game.
