EUCON International University proudly celebrates the inspiring journey of Vinson Deleon Guerrero, the latest recipient of the Indigenous Chamorro Scholarship in Business Administration. His story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to return to school, grow professionally, and give back to the community.

Vinson, a respected chef, educator, and community servant, has built a remarkable career spanning over a decade in leadership, training, and operations management. From the bustling kitchens of the Hyatt Regency Saipan to mentoring culinary students at Northern Marianas Technical Institute, Vinson has always combined excellence in his craft with a heart for service. Most recently, his work with the CNMI Public School System’s Child Nutrition Program has allowed him to serve hundreds of students daily, ensuring quality, nutritious meals.

But despite his many professional successes, Vinson has chosen to take on a new challenge — returning to school to complete his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at EUCON International University. His goal? To strengthen his skills in administration, education, and public service, and to create opportunities for future generations in the Chamorro community.

“I want to show our people that education is a lifelong journey,” Vinson said. “By going back to school, I’m not just investing in my future — I’m investing in the future of our community. If I can do it, so can you.”

Vinson’s determination reflects the very heart of the Indigenous Scholarship program — empowering Chamorro and Carolinian students to succeed academically while preserving cultural identity and strengthening the CNMI’s local leadership.

EUCON President Dr. Christian Wei said, “Vinson’s example is exactly what this scholarship stands for. His leadership, work ethic, and vision for community growth will inspire others to pursue their education, no matter their age or stage in life.”

The Indigenous Scholarship offers full tuition for qualified Chamorro and Carolinian students pursuing undergraduate or MBA degrees at EUCON International University. It is designed to remove financial barriers and open doors for local residents to achieve their academic and career dreams.

Applications are now open. Chamorro and Carolinian students are strongly encouraged to apply and take advantage of this life-changing opportunity.
