Escape from a near disappointment on a game played last Sunday against the feisty PRA Choppers, the Ilocandia Bulls will have to test their might once more with the RAMS – Ballers for the featured match for the 2009 FBL games. The Bulls will be spearheaded by their streak shooting bigman Joeger Supnet while supported by Dennis “the flash” Castro who have proven to be very precise on his outside shooting and great finishes on breaks. As for the RAMS, coach Pons Mahor and Asst. Coach Edgar Munar has yet to establish a solid line up as they still have a hard time finishing their opponents on crucial situations.
As for the opening match, Boy Gopez and the rest of the crew of PRA – Choppers will have to prove the predictions are mistaken as they tussle with the defending champion, Surangel and Sons. Then on the second game, Palau Nationals will have to re-group themselves after a big setback against Western Union on their previous game to get back on the right track.On other games, Ilocandia – Bulls barrels its way as they get to meet with the PRA – Choppers on the opening match, while Rangers will aim to spring back from on overtime loss as they tussle with the HANPA – Cardinals on the second game, then number one in standings, Palau Nationals, will go for their 5th win on the third game when they strive to beat the team from Western Union and stay as the only unbeaten team. Four matches are played every Sunday afternoon in which the first game starts at exactly 11:00 p.m. The 2009 Filipino Basketball League is operated and supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation and sponsored by PITI, CTSI-Logistics, J.Trading/ATT, Surangel and Sons, Ilocandia Association, Ilonggo Association, and Western Union.
