Police Officer 2 Jason T. Tarkong said on May 5, at 8:30 a.m., they will be in the cafeteria of Chacha Jr. High School to meet with eighth graders before heading to Hopwood Jr., High School at 10 a.m.
On May 6, Tarkong said Crime Stoppers make a presentation in the cafeteria of Kagman High School at 8:30 a.m.
The presentation for Saipan Southern High School will start at 9 a.m. on May 7 in the cafeteria while the presentation for Marianas High School will be on May 8 at 10 a.m.
Tarkong said students can do a lot to make their schools and neighborhoods safer through the Crime Stoppers program.
“The purpose of Crime Stoppers in doing school presentations is to involve the students, staff, parents and neighbors in preventing crime in and around their schools,” Tarkong said.
In other news, Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David is inviting the community to take part in the celebration of the Police Week which will start with a proclamation signing at the governor’s office on Capital Hill on Tuesday next week.
