This year, some of the books may be published in hardbound covers.
WSR principal Lynette Villagomez said they already found an American publishing company, Studentreasure, which will sponsor the publication of the students’ books.
Villagomez said they will select at least 10 books written by the students.
“This will be the first time that their books will be published,” she said.
This year’s book fair theme was “Festival of Young Authors.”
The annual activity aims to encourage students develop their writing skills, Villagomez said.
She said the books are the collections of the students’ writings in school.
Their topics included biography, fairy tales, ancient history, culture and health.
Some wrote poems and narratives.
Most of the contributions of students are stories about themselves, Villagomez said.
WSR vice principal Naomi Nishimura said the event helps students develop their creativity and discover their talents as writers.
The students’ books will be displayed in the library, Villagomez said.
“The children were praising each other about their books,” she added.
