Kryptonites were not as sharp as they were on a previous match in which they made a gallant effort to beat team Mizthang with a great outcome of 50 – 24 three nights ago. However, as they were matched against the league leading team, Sesengel Ketbengang and Esi Ubedei dominated the scoring rampage for Team Money with an output of 17 and 10, respectively enough to crush their opponent last Tuesday, 26th of May. Despite a spectacular performance from Kiruu Kuartei of the Kryptonites, who finished with 19 markers, team Money was able to carry out their offense and break the defense put up by their challenger that eventually resulted points. In the end, Team Money cashed in the victory with a final score of 55 – 44.
As a result of the first and second round matches among the teams of the WNBL, team standings will be as follows; #1 Team Money, #2 Sam’s Kryptonite, #3 Bring It On, #4 Spartans, #5 Mizthang, and #6 Odesangel. Playoffs will begin on the 28th of May wherein, team Bring It On will face team Odesangel while on May 29, team Spartans will continue their journey for a repeat as they battle team Mizthang.
