Anefal welcomed Moore and Lt. Cmdr. David Selander to Yap and expressed his appreciation to both for attending the graduation in Ulithi.
Like the recent participation of crewmen from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Assateague at the Fisheries and Maritime Institute, these visits are always good for graduating students, the governor said.
Anefal also registered interest in possible equipment surpluses in Okinawa as the U.S. military there relocates to Guam.
Moore doubts there will be equipment surpluses as whatever may be left after the relocation is likely to be used by other military bases in Japan.
