He said he is happy that the young generation is taking the lead in reorganizing what used to be a major political party in the CNMI.
“I welcome the young people into the party and I look forward to meeting them and discussing their thoughts and ideas in formulating the party’s platform,” Quitugua said in an interview.
In a separate interview, Democratic Party public information office Angelo Villagomez said they already have a good number of individuals who want to run on the party’s ticket.
The party will later announce its line-up for the November elections, he added.
Quitugua said he is happy that the party has come around and elected new and dynamic leaders.
