Debbie, in a lunch reception hosted on Friday said that her and husband opened bank accounts of $25 each for the seven graduates of the school.
Mrs. Remengesau said this way the students will learn how to save money.Patricia Franz, Principal of Ngaremlengui Elementary School said that Sen. Remengesau was the keynote speaker at the school’s commencement exercise on May 27. Shannon Remeldil Hainrick, 14 years old was the valedictorian of the class and in her valedictory speech; she reminded her fellow classmates to not give up.“Education is important because in the future we will also help other people and the community where we live,” Hainrick said.Franz said that there are seven students who graduated from the school and will be 9th grade for 2009-2010 school year.
