Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Jason T. Tarkong yesterday said the juvenile was under the custody of the Division of Youth Services correction officers when she was taken to the Commonwealth Health Center on July 8 for treatment.
Tarkong said DPS Central received a call at 6:56 p.m. on Wednesday reporting that the juvenile escaped from the hospital through a bathroom window.
Tarkong said police officers assisted juvenile corrections officers and searched the immediate area, but they were unsuccessful in locating the detainee.
At about 4 p.m. on July 10, two DPS detectives located the juvenile at a residence in Kagman III.
She escaped through a window, but was apprehended and arrested at 4:25 p.m.
She was then transported to the juvenile detention unit where she was booked and detained.
At 12:18 a.m. on Sunday, DPS Central received a call reporting that the detainee escaped from the Kagman detention facility.
The juvenile was last seen scaling the perimeter fence and running away from the facility.
Tarkong said police and juvenile corrections officers searched the area but they failed to locate her.
As of yesterday the juvenile was still at large.
Police cannot provide more details about her because she is a minor.
