Managed by Pat Leon Guerrero, the Guam Baseball All Star Team defeated Southern Utah in a 10-run mercy rule, 11-0.
Chad Torres hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the third inning, to give Guam a commanding 8-0 lead.
Daniel Cruz went 2-for-2 and Jesse Miner went 2-for-3 to contribute to Guam’s first win in the tournament.
The next game, according to Guam All Star parent volunteer, Maria Pangelinan is scheduled for 5 p.m. July 30 and 10 a.m., Guam time.
