PHI Pharmacy-Going stronger at 13

PHI Pharmacy celebrates its 13th year of service to the islands today. PHI vice president Bruce Cohen told the Variety that PHI Pharmacy which was established on July 29, 1996 had contributed a lot in providing the residents with products and services that are readily accessible.

Huge discounts

Cohen said that as a gesture of appreciation for their clients who had been loyal to them for the past 13 years, they are offering 13 days of huge price slash off and discounts in various items in their three outlets.

Cohen said that from July 27 to August 10, they are offering 25 percent discount on all over-the-counter products and as much as 50 percent off on selected products in the three PHI Pharmacy outlets located at the Commonwealth Health Center in Navy Hill, at the Marina Heights and at the Joeten Dandan outlet.

He said that PHI Pharmacy regularly gives seasonal discounts of their products throughout the year like a back-to-school sale, Fourth of July sale and other occasions but this is the first time that they are holding an anniversary sale.

“We know that times are hard and everyone is suffering from the harsh economic situation so we want to help the residents by offering them discounted prices,” Cohen said. He is urging the community to check out their outlets and take advantage of the discounts to stock up on the products that they need.

PHI Pharmacy carries a complete line of products for beauty and health care, hair care, baby products, light medical equipment, dental care, eye and ear care products, feminine hygiene, prescription or over the counter medicines for cough and cold, pain, fungal infections, antibiotics, wound treatments, diabetes, hypertension, kidney problems, chronic ailments and others.

Cohen said they maintain ‘bursting shelves’ and has a regular shipment of medicines from Honolulu, Hawaii.

“All our medicines are from the United States and approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,” Cohen said.

He said that one of the secrets of maintaining a long list of loyal clients is PHI Pharmacy’s willingness to go a second mile in ordering special items needed by clients if these are not available at their outlets yet. Cohen said PHI Pharmacy also fills prescriptions and serves the needs of Tinian and Rota residents through the health offices in the islands.

New branch to open soon

Cohen said that they are looking toward the end of the year to open up PHI Pharmacy’s fourth outlet in Kagman.

“Kagman is the biggest community in the island and we would like to meet the need for the Kagman residents to have quicker access to prescription or over-the-counter medicines,” Cohen said. The newest PHI Pharmacy outlet will be inside the Joeten Store in Kagman, he added.

With the addition of a new outlet, Cohen said they will be able to expand their services to the people and help the Kagman residents save on gas and time going to Dandan or Navy Hill to fill in their prescriptions.

13 and counting…

Cohen said that PHI Pharmacy has gone through 13 years of satisfying the community’s needs.

“We have enjoyed 13 rewarding years of making a difference in the lives of people in the community, and we are looking forward to more years of service,” Cohen said.

He added that PHI Pharmacy has only one server which means clients can fill up their prescriptions from any of the PHI Pharmacy outlets.

The CHC-PHI Pharmacy is open seven days a week. Joeten Dandan branch is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. while the Marina Heights branch is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call 670-235-6170.
