Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the incident was reported to the police at 6:41 pm on July 17, in front of the Rock Island Café.
The teenager was crossing the crosswalk in front of the Rock Island Café while a vehicle pulling a trailer passed by.The trailer hit the juvenile in the leg causing her to fall down on the ground.The teenager sustained injuries in the head and back.The teenager was transported to the hospital for treatment.Aguon said motorists should exercise proper caution while on the roadways especially at the crosswalks.Aguon said driver should stop their vehicle when someone is crossing the crosswalk to ensure that no one is harm.
