Constructed by the Pidgin Holdings Limited, the center will hold installations of hydro, solar and bio-fuel renewable energy systems, the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corp. reported.
The energy division of the Solomons Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification is behind the initiative.
The energy division said the center will attempt to show the public how renewable energy can be installed in the many villages of Solomon Islands, using water, sun and coconut oil to supply electricity.
It said the unit plans to produce clean energy with low carbon emissions or none.
SIBC said the construction of the building has been completed.
