(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — 211 additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 6,102 cases since March 26, 2020, CHCC reported on Sunday evening. The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored.
Of the 211 cases: 209 were identified on Feb. 5, 2022, and two on Feb. 4, 2022
176 were identified via contact tracing, 30 via community testing, and five via travel testing.
Five were identified on Tinian, and five on Rota.
As of Feb. 6, 2022, there were eight individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19: six were unvaccinated and two were vaccinated. Three were discharged.
Individuals who test positive for Covid-19 should stay home and isolate when they are sick (except to get medical care), even if they do not have symptoms. Rest, stay hydrated and take over-the-counter medicines, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, to relieve symptoms. Live Covid-19 safe.

A total of 13 Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Feb. 6, 2022, resulting in 99.7% of the CNMI’s eligible population being fully vaccinated.
The vaccination statuses of the 211 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 715 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Feb. 5, 2022:
405 via community-based testing;
204 at the Covid-19 Community Center (referrals only);
67 at Tinian Health Center; and
39 at the Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of Feb. 5, 2022, there had been 4,541 recoveries and 1,538 active cases.
3,044 of the cases were identified via contact tracing; 2,450, community testing; and 608 travel testing.
Since March 2020, there have been 23 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI.
