Around the Islands: Tourism council accepting new members

“Tourism is everybody’s business, and we are looking for new ways to partner with our community, especially our youth, in support of the industry,” said MTEC president Ed Cho, GM of Saipan Grand Hotel.  “We welcome anyone who wants to join us in this important educational effort.”

Any person, business entity, association, organization or agency can become an MTEC member by volunteering to support the council’s activities or by making a monetary or in-kind contribution of $200 or more.

Most recently, MTEC granted cash prizes to the schools with the most participation in the 2009 islandwide cleanup organized by Beautify CNMI.

MTEC will hold its annual election for board members in September.
