BUENAS yan hafa adai taotao Marianas! I am far from home but I’m taking this opportunity to write my letter of appreciation to Congressman Richard Lizama and Congresswoman Leila Staffler.
On behalf of my family in Kannat Tabla and the other people in the area, we say “un dangkulu na si yu’us ma’ase” for that wonderful day of trash collection. It was a great opportunity for the residents in this area to throw away their garbage without driving down to Lower Base. I saw that Kannat Tabla residents did not waste time filling up those big trash containers. I’ve lived in the area since the 1990’s and I say that this was the first time that trash day took place there.
As days and months go by it seems that this area is beginning to show improvements.
I hope in the near future, we can also have a social hall and a basketball court in the area. The social hall can also be used as a youth center.
Once again I’m not writing this letter to the editor for political gain, but only saying “Thank You” to Precinct 5’s congressman and congresswoman for a great project.
