Pangelinan hands CHC 1st win vs ARFF

Pangelinan and Ben Lisua clamped down on ARFF in the fourth quarter and pounded their opponents with 22 points for their 76-54 victory.

Joe Tudela towered in the center as he led CHC’s offense in the early part of the first quarter and basketed the team’s first two points.

Right away, Pangelinan poured points from the perimeter including two three-point shots and handed CHC a seven-point lead in the first quarter.

ARFF’s Jeffrey Quitugua carried the team almost single-handedly in the first quarter in an attempt for come from behind.

However, Pangelinan was rampaging. He wrapped up the first quarter with 14 points.

Tom Diaz helped CHC stretch the lead by blasting two three-pointers in the second quarter.

The CHC cagers pressed the ball in the beginning of the second half as focused on defense to limit ARFF’s points. Then, Pangelinan bombarded them again with a two consecutive two-pointers and a penalty shot.

Samson Fernandez added four points.

IT&E 104, BoG 70

Bruce Berline surged in the second quarter pulling IT&E away of the 17-17 deadlock to help rout Bank of Guam, 104-70.

Poland Yamada and Juan Manibusan took charge in the final quarter and helped Ernie Fernandez finished off BoG.

In attempt to avenge their two consecutive losses, Gus Palacios rampaged in the first quarter and Randy Pelisamen tied the ball game.

However, Berline’s three straight two points one of which earned a penalty shot widened the gap again.

Joemar Tumaquip helped tightened the defense and added 14 points.
