A report from the college said NMC’s student population was up by 19 percent as of yesterday.
NMC has 938 students compared to 791 in fall semester of last year.
Fernandez said NMC is proud of the enrollment figures which, she added, are a reflection of the college staff’s hard work in recruiting new students and retaining old ones.
NMC said its re-accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges is also one of the main reasons for the increase in enrollees.
NMC is extending the registration process until Friday to accommodate more students.
Registration is ongoing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and late registration fees will be waived for students who register during this period.
