“I’m not ready to talk about [it] because I’m still working with [the human resources office] and preparing with information that we need to know,” Sablan said in an interview.
“So I’m not going to be able to discuss it — not right now,” she added.
Asked for comment, PSS human resources director Charley Kenty referred this reporter to Sablan’s office.
In an interview with the Varie ty last July 30, Kenty said: “We sent [Hofschneider] to the United States to look for teachers….”
Hofschneider, he added, was assigned to the education commissioner’s office.
Hofschneider is a retired Tinian High School principal.
In other news, Sablan yesterday introduced a new teacher for Saipan Southern High School who was recruited by Hofschneider.
Allison Walker will teach arts at Saipan Southern High School.
“I’m nervous, overwhelmed and excited,” Walker said.
