Lt. Aloysius Alonz identified the victim as Silvino Maech.
Alonz said the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. He was declared dead at 2:30 pm.The incident was reported to the police at 1:50 pm on Tuesday.The victim who is said to be active in the Catholic Church activities was doing a net fishing.Alonz said there were other people who were fishing too at that time and claimed they saw the victim earlier walking on the low tides of the water.The victim was gone for a while and when he was found later, he was already unconsciously lying at the shallow water.Cause of his death has yet to be determined.
