(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of Feb. 24, 2022, there were five individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:
Three were vaccinated, and two were partially vaccinated.
One of the five was on a ventilator.
157 additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 9,265 cases since March 26, 2020, CHCC reported Thursday evening.
Of the 157 cases:
134 were identified on Feb. 23, 2022, and 23 prior to Feb. 23, 2022.
Six were identified on Tinian, and 22 on Rota — 13 on Feb. 21, eight on Feb. 22, and one on Feb. 23, 2022.
A total of 44 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on Feb. 24, 2022. Of the eligible population, 56.2% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.
The vaccination statuses of the 157 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 446 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Feb. 23, 2022:
334 via Community-Based Testing;
108 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and
four at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of Feb. 23, 2022, there were 8,291 recoveries and 947 active cases.
Of the cases, 8,618 were identified via community testing and 647 through travel testing.
Since March 2020, there have been 27 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI.
