T-Project donates movie passes, McDonald’s gift certificates to kids in DYS shelter

T-PROJECT, in partnership with the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs-Division of Youth Services, donated 12 movie passes and 12 McDonald’s Restaurant gift certificates to the children in the DYS emergency shelter.

T-Project is an LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization that aims to make a positive impact that can “echo through generations — present and future” in the CNMI.

DYS Director Vivian Sablan said T-Project has worked alongside the division on numerous community outreach events.

She said DYS and T-Project are now “assessing program forms and identifying staff training to be inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community in the coordination, implementation and delivery of DYS programs and services.”

“We look forward to a continued partnership in providing equal opportunities to our children and families served,” Sablan said.
