32nd Covid-19-related death; 12 additional cases

(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — The Governor’s Covid-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. on Thursday evening confirmed the CNMI’s 32nd Covid-19-related death.

As of March 24, 2022, there were seven individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19.

CHCC said 12 additional individuals have also been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 10,997 cases since March 28, 2020.  

Of the 12 cases identified on March 23, 2022, one was on Tinian.

A total of 45 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 24, 2022. Of the eligible population, 59.4% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.

A total of 115 Covid-19 tests were conducted on March 23, 2022:

102 via Community-Based Testing;

12 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and

1 at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of March 23, 2022, there were 10,832 recoveries and 133 active cases.

Of the cases, 10,217 were identified via  community testing  and 780 through travel testing.
