According to Trench Tech promoter Cuki Alvarez, Saures who represents Saipan’s Team XXXTREME suffered an arm injury during his preparation for the event.
He had conditioned himself to fight and vowed to bring down the “giant” but the injury was bad enough to excuse him from the big brawl.
Weighing 220 lbs, The Kill Bill is a stand up fighter with an MMA record of 6 wins and 3 losses.
At the same time, Davis also had to rush back to Guam due to a family problem. Alvarez could not elaborate but The Ogre was already on the Saipan when he received an urgent call.
It was fortunate that his opponent would also not make it in the fight which gave him the go signal to leave.
Alvarez however promised that the two giants will meet in the event—Trench Warz 11 Fearless that will be held on Dec. 4. The two fighters, he said already told him they are looking forward to that.
Alvarez also noted that since Guam and Saipan fighters fought to a 5-5 tie in the Collision, the Trench Warsz 11 will give both groups the chance to break it and claim dominance of the region’s MMA.
