“We have nothing to hide,” said Untalan in an interview with the Variety.
Untalan and Greg Cruz, president of Taotao Tano group, were supposed to meet Wednesday.
Cruz did not show up to the appointment, Untalan said.
Untalan, who returned to work on Monday after a month-long leave, welcomed concerns raised by Cruz about CHC.
“We’re ready to explain to him,” Untalan added.
Cruz earlier e-mailed John Tagabuel who initially took over during Untalan’s absence.
Cruz questioned Tagabuel’s credentials and raised concerns about CHC’s operations, including the presence of a private clinic at the hospital.
Untalan said there is nothing wrong with the operation of a private clinic at CHC.
He assured Cruz that the department is doing something to address concerns about CHC’s shortage of doctors.
