(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — CHCC Public Health Services H.O.M.E Visiting Program is proud to announce 10 newly certified Infant Massage Educators to its team-joining the two existing certified educators. Home Visitors completed a comprehensive four-day training and certification exam led by Michael Curtis, International Infant Massage Trainer. With the new addition of trainers, the H.O.M.E. Visiting team is able to expand infant massage education to program enrolled families.

The program includes five comprehensive sessions designed to educate parents and caregivers on safe, effective massage techniques that offer vital benefits to infants, including:

• Stimulation of the baby’s circulatory and nervous systems

• Improved interaction and bonding between parent and child

• Relief from gas, colic, and growing pains

• Relaxation to promote better sleep and emotional regulation

Infant Massage sessions provide emotional and practical benefits for caregivers, such as enhancing confidence, deepening connection, and creating supportive networks through shared learning.

This enhanced initiative is dedicated in loving memory to the late Yuline Cruz, H.O.M.E. Visiting Program manager, whose vision and unwavering commitment helped lay the foundation for this program’s success. “We are deeply honored to carry forward Yuline’s work with a team that reflects her dedication and care to families in the CNMI,” said Sanivette B. Sabalan, H.O.M.E. Visiting acting program manager. “This program empowers caregivers and nurtures healthy development in our youngest community members.”

The H.O.M.E. Visting Program is available to pregnant women and families with newborn babies on the islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
