Department of Public Safety acting spokesperson Jason T. Tarkong said DPS Central dispatched Fire Department personnel to respond to a reported fire structure at Kanon Drive in As Matuis at about 9:39 p.m. on Monday.
Tarkong said Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene at about 9:44 p.m. and found the wooden structure completely engulfed in fire.
He said the fire company had totally put the fire under control after more than an hour.
Fire Investigators who were summoned to the scene observed that the wooden structure had already collapsed to the ground.
“Based on their observation, the wooden structure sustained major damages, but the cause of the fire is yet to be determined pending further investigation,” Tarkong said.
