The group is holding a meeting at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym conference room today with coaches and managers at 5:30 p.m.
John Maratita, the group’s president has earlier told Variety that it’s the first time they will hold three softball events happening consecutively.
The first two events that they tentatively plan to start on Sept. 14 are the Men’s Island-wide Fast-pitch Softball Tournament.
Then, the Island-wide Coed Slow-pitch Softball Tournaments will follow.
The third one, he said will be the Women’s Island-wide Fast-pitch Softball Tournament but the schedule has yet to be discussed in the final meeting set in the first week of the Sept.
The group said it is expecting 18 teams to participate in the three tournaments.
The softball association’s officials are calling on all coaches and managers to attend this afternoon’s meeting.
Any interested groups and individuals are welcome to join.
The softball group is also seeking support from the business community for sponsorship.
