According to Saipan Laolao Development Inc., which sponsored the job fair, the turnout was very good.
During the fair, the applicants were told which job openings were suited for them.
“Management is always in search of skilled personnel,” the company said.
Laolao hotel president Yun Kim and general manager Tetsuya Matsunaga said they support hiring locals.
Among the vacancies were positions at food & beverage, golf course maintenance and the front office.
The hotel management team said high school and Northern Marianas College students will be given career counseling through internship programs.
To date, the hotel has four interns from NMC and six from various universities from other countries like South Korea.
