Lt. Peter Napoleon said that the sedan was already an old car and had been abandoned for years when the owner who is said to be under the influence of alcohol burned it.
Napoleon said a woman called on Tuesday at 10:10 pm and reported that someone set a fire on a vehicle which was parked next to her residence in Ked, Airai.Police and fire personnel responded and controlled the blaze.The sedan was totally burned, the police report indicated.Napoleon said the car’s owner fled the scene after burning his vehicle.
