Miller’s double hat trick hands MP United 2nd place win

Scoring two straight goals had been Miller’s feat during the past few games, and just a month ago, his hat trick helped MP United maintain its place just next to Inter-Godfathers.

MP United fell behind when Independent FC defeated top-ranked Inter-Godfathers two weeks ago. But the double hat trick last Sunday that also boosted Miller past top-ranked Thoengaket Jeeraphong in the list of top scorers, helped MP United get its place back. Miller now leads the final top scorer’s list with 23 goals, ahead of Jeeraphong’s 22.With Matt Holley’s goal in the 18th minute of the first half, Swaim widened the gap with a goal in the 32nd minute. The MP United defenders tackled the Remington forwarders and gave Miller the chance to fire the last shot eight minutes to the halftime break.Jeeraphong started the second half with his usual cross in the 12thminute.Miller retaliated and a series of turnovers put him again in a scoring position and succeeded his three straight goals.Independent FC 5, Korea Junior 2 Independent FC’s Jason Schroeder foiled Korean Juniors’ attempt to take the lead by scoring a hat trick.Schroeder fired his first and second goals within the 20 minute of the first half.And after K-Juniors’ Brian Ko succeeded in his first try to bounce back, Independent FC defended their territory all the way to the end of the first half.Schroeder scored his third in the second minute of the final half and Ko retaliated.Jari Voutilainen goaled twice in the second half and the Independents secured their lead towards the end of the game.KFAS 3, Matansa 2After Matansa’s Semisi Betevua got even from Cho Jin Koo’s first successful attack for Korean Football Association of Saipan in the first half, Kamrul took the lead with their second goal early in the second half.

Rhee Jae Wan tied the game and Hwang Young Ha brought back the lead for KFAS strikers who defended their turf to the end.
