The identity of the 39-year-old victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to Department of Public Safety acting spokesman PO2 Jason Tarkong.
Investigation by Detective Simon Manacop revealed that the victim, described by police as possibly Caucasian or Chamorro, checked in at the hotel on Thursday at about 11 a.m.
She was found with no pulse and not breathing at about 11:05 a.m. on the following day, police said.
There were no signs of injuries and foul play had been ruled out, police said.
Police said the victim was transported by DPS medics to the Commonwealth Health Center, where she was pronounced dead by Dr. Gregory Kotheimer at 12:36 p.m.
DPS has requested for a forensic pathologist to conduct an autopsy.
Police did not indicate how many months along the victim was, and no medical history had been diagnosed to support the cause of her death.
Hotel staff told police that they noticed massive swelling on the victim’s legs as she walked in the lobby on Thursday morning.
The staff offered to call an ambulance for her, but the victim refused their help, police said.
On Friday, at about 11 a.m., hotel management knocked on the victim’s door several times and got no response.
They opened the door to check on the victim and found her in the bathroom with no pulse and not breathing, police said.
Hotel staff then contacted the police.
Manacop said he learned that the victim had a history of mental illness.
